Every mobile phone handset has a number called an IMEI. It’s a bit like a fingerprint because it’s unique. To find yours simply key in *#06# and the code will be shown on your screen. It may also be located behind the battery on some phones.
Whats an IMEI number used for?
It’s used for a number of things. When you insure a phone or report it lost or stolen it will be used to track and block the handset.
Sometimes it can be used to help your phones services work too.
